About Us

The Village Apartments of Cherry Hill consist of 149 garden-style apartment units located on the beautiful St. Mary’s campus in Cherry Hill, New Jersey.  Opened in 1982, Village Apartments serves individuals who are 62 or older and individuals of all ages with disabilities.   In 2019, the maximum income for a qualified one-person household is $31,550.  The maximum income for a two-person household is $36,050.  All residents qualify for rental subsidies.  The tenant-paid portion of the monthly rent is set at 30% of the resident household income calculated in accordance with HUD income rules.

Village Apartments offers both studio and 1-bedroom units.  Each unit has a private entrance. The units feature fully-equipped kitchens and baths, with tile or linoleum flooring and updated cabinets and counter tops.  The living areas are spacious, with either carpet or laminate plank flooring.  There is also ample closet space.  

The complex also provides several community spaces for the residents to enjoy time together, including three community rooms, each equipped with a television.  Attached to each community room is a common laundry facility.  In addition, the campus has several gazebos where residents can relax and enjoy the beautiful landscaping.  Community garden plots are available to residents who want to try their hand at growing flowers, plants, fruits and vegetables during the warmer months.  Our full-time maintenance staff provides on-call coverage for maintenance emergencies that occur outside of regular business hours.

To ensure that we are able to help our residents meet the challenges of growing older, the team at Village Apartments includes two full-time Service Coordinators and a part-time Wellness Nurse.  The Service Coordinators assist residents in obtaining needed social, psychological, nutritional and medical supports (in conjunction with the Wellness Nurse) so that they can enjoy the highest quality of life possible. We also sponsor various educational events such as blood pressure screenings, diabetes awareness, vision screenings and health fairs. The Service Coordinators also work with our residents to develop appropriate recreational programs, including exercise and yoga classes, coloring groups, arts and crafts and other special events.

Pet Policy

One small household pet is allowed such as a cat or a dog which does not (or will not) exceed 25 pounds when fully grown.  A refundable deposit is charged for pets.
